I spent 3 days in one of these during the holiday break. It drives as you'd expect it to, and MyFord Touch sucks. Anyhow, in my wine-induced stupor I bought some motor mounts that may end up ruining my car, and I also failed to talk my girl into getting a VW GTI.
I didn't choose to be be a petrolhead. In fact, I believe that cars are an overused mode of transportation, that public transportation makes more sense in urban areas, and that cities designed around cars generally suck. However, vehicles like the Edge remind me why I'm here. The Edge is great sensory deprivation box, judging from my snoring passengers, and there's certainly a place for that given today's transportation infrastructure. But damn, my heart catches fire every time I drive a properly sorted driver's car. Even if it's just a tub with wheels and a wheezy engine strapped on the back. I didn't choose the brotherhood of Oppo. It chose me.
